The Sure Start scheme held an evening to raise money for a support group in the Medway area for parents that have lost babies through miscarriage. I am happy to say that this was a completely successful evening and everyone who took part had a good time.

The money raised will help the Scheme to provide a much needed support service to help parents come to terms with their loss.

The evening  included

Code Red Hairdressing services

Heena Beauty with Eyebrow threading, Beauty treatments, Indian head massage

Medium’s giving personal readings and a body piercing will also be available, and lots more

Available on the evening was fabulous Indian food and refreshments

A small charge for each individual treatment was made, but  in most cases was a fraction of the normal prices.

Tickets cost just 50 PENCE and included a raffle ticket which was drawn on the night.

The evening was  held on the 3rd April from 7pm to 10pm at All saints Children’s Center, Magpie Hall Road, Chatham Kent ~~ 01634-338833 .

The total amount raised was £150.00 unfortunately there are no photos of the event available.

Code Red and friends spent the day at the Pentagon Shopping Center, Chatham Kent, cutting hair and performing eyebrow threading services in exchange for donations.

More than 40 passers by stopped and took part.

Minimum donations for this event were £4.00 but the average donation was around £6.00.

Joining Code Red on the day was hair stylist Natalie Ward, beautician Daxa Patel of Heena Beauty and photographer Dave Neighbour.

Thank you to everybody who took part we raised £218.00 for Stepping Stones (see charity tab) We all had a successful and enjoyable day.
